Some from-the-street votes for the Oscar Awards | what har?

With the Oscar 74th Annual Academy Awards arriving around the corner, What Har? interviewed some people on their views on the nominees; telling us which and who are their favourites.

ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE
" Must be Russell Crowe lah! That show he acted gila inside right? And then it's a 'based on true story' kind of show right? The true story very very sad one right? Sure tio one lah! Everytime I acted retarded or handicapped that year's TV award sure no problem one! So I bet he win!"

"I do not understand, why is my VCD not nominated? My friends said, May Feng, you had acted very well, but my show is not nominated! I have no script. I have no second takes for the hidden shot. I don't know what's the right way for a person to be nominated under this kind of circumstances, especially in this kind of society."

"I tell you har, this Lord of the Rings better win. Do you know that, after the show, I got some good friends outside Kiasu-n-Kiasi Land to help me make a lot of gold rings with funny signs on them, one cost me $1 leh! Har? Of course the gold fake one lah, siow ah? $1 how to buy gold? Then har, I tell those old auntie and greedy old men these rings got power one, can give them fatt chow, tio 4D, like the one in the show like that, got magic one. Wah! Then I sold them $1000 you know? Si beh hor tang! So if the show win again har, wah lao, sure good business one!"

"I have a vote for Moulin Rouge. The makeup inside is really very good. Just look at the girls! After acting so convincingly and successfully as a mid-forties aunty and a late-sixties old woman, I'm planning a new creative role for my variety show as a mid-fifties hooker in Geylang. This show will be a good reference for me."
